  4. Subject: Mod for Cherokee AH-100

  6. The Cherokee AH-100 is a Handheld AM/SSB CB. It will cover 10 meters as
  7. well. The mod is:

  9. Remove the back cover from the radio.
  10. Locate the PC board that the PTT is mounted to. 
  11. Locate the 3 solder lands that just end. Solder a bridge between all 3
  12. solder pads.
  13. Reassemble the radio.
  14.  
  15. Now when you turn it on, press the channel 9 button and hold for 2
  16. seconds. (the display will remain blank until released) You will now
  17. have  from 25.165 - 29.655 in 10 bands! Band E is the cb channels and
  18. the 'E' is not displayed.

  20. NOTE: if the unit has been powered before the MOD, you must reset the
  21. processor, Just place a jumper over the Battery contacts for 24 hours
  22. while the unit is on
